Local Attractions
Cork City; European Capital of Culture 20005; has a great deal to offer visitors. There is the Crawford Gallery; Opera House and an excellent selection of shops and restaurants including the English Market. Historic sites in the area include Cork City Gaol; St Finbarre's Cathedral; University College Cork; Fota House including wildlife park and St Ann's Church at Shandon where you can ring the bells from the Belfry. Location Description
Situated at Maryborough Hill; just outside Douglas village; approximately 4 miles southeast of Cork City. Follow the signs for Douglas (not Douglas West) from Cork City and then follow signage to Maryborough House Hotel.
