The Brook Lane Hotel is situated at the head of Kenmare Bay and nestling between the Cork and Kerry mountains, Kenmare is a charming town in the south west of Ireland. Brightly coloured buildings line the streets, giving the town a welcoming and appealing air. The town was founded in 1670 by Sir William Petty and preserves many of its original features which led the Irish Tourist Board, Bord Failte, to bestowed upon it the title of Kerry's first heritage town. The town's position makes it an ideal base from which to tour the Ring of Kerry or the rugged Ring of Beara. Kenmare is well known for its gourmet food and the town is filled with restaurants, pubs and hotels offering a high standard of food and accommodation.
