The Garden was laid out as early as 1867 and has undergone profound restoration to appear as it is now. The structural layout is impressive and outstanding. There is a formal flower garden and a kitchen garden within Kylemore.
The Kylemore garden offers guests with an unmatched nature experience. Amidst the woodlands, guests are lulled with the melodic sounds and hums of birds and insects. Bats can be seen during sunsets and butterflies are everywhere. During summer season, swallows and chiff chaffs may be adding amusement to the guests. Remarkable fish species inhabit the lakes around the Kylemore Abbey, thus, making it an obvious fishing attraction.
