Playing for Fun at Portrush > View Antrim articles
Some places are just too good to be true but in Antrim, places are just too good and they are true! Among the prides of Antrim is the second best conceived green complex in Ireland comprising the Royal Portrush golf course. Quite amazingly, where the golf course is situated is in itself enough to make this place unique and stand out from the rest of the golf courses in Ireland. You must agree when I say that it certainly adds to the thrill and excitement knowing that you are playing above cliffs where Atlantic oceans surrounds you just below.

The Portrush is very impressive with its enormously wide area of land covered with healthy green grasses and luscious smell of fresh ultra clean air. And if this place is sure to make you fall in love with its magnificent site, what more could it bring when you actually play the game? You can just imagine.

If you are up for a rare challenge, then this is the place for you. An equally challenging pre-play experience is the ride along a snake-like road named A1 which is the main road to the Portrush. Enjoy the left and right tugging of the car as it passes by along the sides of the cliffs giving you that fast thumping of your heart, an interesting way to work-out and prepare for the game ahead.

But as we say, the real challenge is the game itself and this is the right place for it. The Royal Putrush is renowned for its tricky golf holes; each is entirely different from another and requires a different technique. I would say that this is a very suitable place for beginners to practice and an equally exciting place for professionals to enhance their skills. But really how to get that ball inside the hole is all in your hands. So never forget your lessons for they sure can be handy at times like these.

Whether you win or not is not the real reward, for you will surely find yourself rewarded either way. For most golfers, winning is not everything. The most important thing is to have fun. And the best way to have fun is to play the game. And the best way to play the game is to play it at Royal Portrush.
