Co. Clare has a number of spots perfect for a long walk. Each of the walking routes is perfect if you need to indulge in a pleasurable appreciation of nature while sweating for health a bit. The scenery that will hold you in captivity are the best views the natural world could offer.
A famed destination of walking activity aficionados is the Burren Way. The whole 45 km trail can be enjoyed in every single step. The walking channel starts from the activity filled village of Lahinch and ends in Ballyvaughan. The serenity of the country lanes and the scenic views with a touch of the past highlight your hiking adventure. This activity could be done alone with a guide or can be a group getaway. Whichever you will be taking, you will have your greatest adventure for sure.
The Mid Clare Way is another name to remember if you intend to go on hiking while at Co. Clare. The trail links you to another walking channel, the East Clare Way. You do need some extra energy to walk along this 100 km trail. But the entertaining and amusing sights along the way will make you forget about the distance.
Continuing your walk for a cause from Mid Clare Way, you can walk the East Clare Way directly. This 180 km circular course will let you pass along the most scenic part of Co. Clare. A remarkable walking experience waits for you here.
The Lough Derg Way has marked its own signature in terms of ideal spots for hiking. It extends from Limerick City to Killaloe and from the latter to Dromineer. What makes this route one of the best trails is the backdrop. Just imagine walking along a nature enriched setting with the grand Lough Derg, one of the largest lakes in Ireland, as your background. I must say it is the most grandiose walking activity you could ever have in your whole life.
Hiking or walking can never be as impressive as walks along Co. Clare’s trails. The best of nature untold and the mystical beauty of the surrounding makes this activity a never to forget chapter of your stay in Co. Clare and in Ireland in general.
