Extreme Adventures at Mount Leinster > View Carlow articles
Mount Leinster is a world renowned spot for its luscious verdant view alongside its natural bait of being the highest peak in the Blackstairs Mountains. It borders two Ireland’s counties: Wexford and Carlow. For years now, it has been a famed walk and physical activity destination. If you want a relaxing walk while you take pleasure in the natural enchantment of the environment, a forest walk along this mountain’s path seems to be especially made for you. This mountain is very accessible as it has a road that will lead you all the way to its peak. The summit of this mountain can be reached by anyone through the television mast road. However, if you are a bit adventurous you may take some route that will be more fascinating and stirring. Some suggested routes in climbing Leinster are from the Ballycrystal’s valley and from the Scullogue Gap.

If are into extreme adventure, you can try the hang gliding activity popularly done at Mt. Leinster. It seems to be an easy activity if you look at it but in reality hang gliding requires a load of patience and an ample time for someone to learn how to do it. I doubt it that anyone can just soar up high in the sky without practice. The good thing here is that the Mt. Leinster Hang Gliding Club is ready to teach and train you with the basic knowledge and skills you need before you actually fly – literally. In just a matter of few months, you will be as free as an eagle soaring high above. Just imagine the wind blowing your being away as you freely go along with it – truly an extreme adventure.

True enough to the fame given to it, Mount Leinster is an interesting location to fulfill your dream of a closer connection with the ceaseless temptation of nature’s beauty. As many have already been lured to savor its splendor, you too are just a short ride away from the same experience these people had. Don’t you think that now is the right time you come out of your own personality shell and experience life’s extremes? The perfect initiation you need is the thrilling hang gliding.

Where else can you find a paradise that blends extreme appreciation of natural beauty with an extreme activity? Nowhere else but in Mount Leinster, Co. Carlow, Ireland.
