Co. Mayo, Ireland – Contae Mhaigh Eo, which means “plain of the yews” is the Irish term for this county. Co. Mayo is strategically situated on the west coast of Ireland, fringed to the south by Galway, bordered to the east by Roscommon and margined to the north-east by Sligo. It is the third largest county in Ireland in terms of area coverage. The county abounds in endless charms, thus, making it a prime tourist destination in Ireland.
